Airi was a little bit surprised when the League contacted her and made a request for her to team up with Razz, the Slateport Captain, to host a public event for the League. She has been told that the League is known to hold special events to show the organization in a more positive light and to encourage others to join their forces. To be honest, Airi has a lot of respect for the League, and she even enjoys working for them. However, she is not gullible enough to believe that everyone else shares her love and respect for them. In fact, she has encountered quite a few individuals, who seem to have indifferent views of the League. Despite the League not being perfect, this is Airi's opportunity to at least show others that the League still has the best interest of the world in mind.

"Alright everyone, today is the day! I know that you have all been waiting for this day to arrive, right?" Airi speaks out to the small, adorable Pokémon resting on top of decorated table. Her deep azure eyes glistening with excitement mixed with a little bit nervousness. She has spent a lot of days and nights caring for each individual Pokémon as they slowly recover from the physical and emotional injuries that each of them had to endure overtime. She felt like a proud mother, but also like a nervous wreck, too, because she wishes to see all of them get adopted by a loving trainer. However, she cannot allow her nervousness to show too much or else the little ones will sense it, too. She gives the energetic Azurill a warm hug, before moving down a bit to give the shy Surskit a gentle pat, then give the carefree Spheal a soft nuzzle before pulling away from it. "You are all going to find great homes, I feel it!" She gives them an assuring smile.

Airi shifts her attention away from the Pokémon, the moment she hears Razz approaching her and asking her if everything is looking good. "Captain Razz, everyone is healthy and in good spirits! Ready to find a good home, right?" She beams at him then turns her attention back towards the young Pokémon. The Pokémon let out a song of cheerful cries.

There is a hint of a smile on his mostly neutral features as he sees the nurse interact with several of the pokemon. He has little to no doubt that near all the pokemon here got the same love and treatment for their recovery and he hopes that passing families and trainers can see it too. "I'm glad, do any from your group need a blue collar?" he questions as he does have some to offer. Knowing that she hasn't done one of these adoptions with him before he is quick to offer an explanation, "Not all the pokemon have recovered their nerve to actually battle so those with blue collars do come with the stipulation that should anyone adopt them they are for companionship, not for traditional trainer battles"[break][break]

he would offer a collar for her should she need it. Otherwise he would let the other Rangers know they were fully open to the public now for them to take a look for themselves.

Airi places her index finger underneath her button-shape chin as she takes a few seconds to think about Razz's previous question. She felt a little inadequate to give him an answer, but after he takes the time to explain the true meaning behind the blue collars everything began to make a lot more sense to her. "Oh, I see. Thank you for explaining the blue collars to me. I think it is amazing that you all have implemented this system," she smiles at him, politely taking one of the blue collars from him. She then walks over and gently place the blue collar around the Surskit's body, making sure that it is not too tight against its body is it at risk of slipping off its body either. "There, perfect fit! It even looks pretty cute on you, too!" she giggles. The Surskit lets out a cheerful cry before releasing a stream of harmless bubbles at the kind-hearted nurse.

"As you know there is pretty new to me, is there anything else that I may be able to assist you with, Captain?" Airi asks him, her signature alluring smile spread across her lightly painted lips.

"We try, I know several of the pokemon here had been taken in from illegal battles and it has taken them a long time to get them to be friendly with people again, so putting them with people who want to do nothing but battle... well that shouldn't be acceptable if they don't want it," heck all the pokemon here had the right to choose not go with the person who wanted them either. This was all about choices and Razz wouldn't take that away from them. "And nothing else from here, but I'd advise to keep close to the pokemon you've taken careful as some people might have questions about them so you'll be the one to know their needs best" he says as he would try to pet the Azurill, only going partway to petting to give it the choice if they wanted to be petted or not. Razz talks into this walkie that all his rangers should be keeping on them. There was a bit of a barricade of Rangers around the area as they waited for the orders and they started stepping aside as both kids and adults alike started coming in. Razz trying his best to keep an eye out Airi might have a few people come up to her and her pokemon. Though she might learn how some of the kids could be a little rough with playing as one might try to squish her Spheal as if they couldn't compute between a ball and the Spheal.

Airi's heart shatters as she listens to Razz share the hurtful stories of some of the Pokémon's past. She never understood how some trainers would force their Pokémon to battle even when those Pokémon wish to not engage in them. Pokémon experience emotions and feeling similar to their human partners. Therefore, Pokémon should not be used as tools of war. She has never been too keen on having her own Pokémon participate in battles unless she needs to protect herself or others. There are rare occasions when she may engage in some practice battles to help make her Pokémon stronger. "That's pretty sad," Airi sighs, fighting back a couple of tears. She soon shifts her focus on the more positive aspects of the event. Today, she will assist these precious babies with finding their forever home. "Yes sir," she nods her head at Razz. She then smiles, watching the Azurill allow the Ranger Captain to pet it.

It does not take too long for one of the kids to approach Airi and the young Pokémon. "Hello there! My name is Miss Airi. Please let me know if you have any questions," she spoke to the little girl with cute pigtails. The girl gives Airi a bright smile before she shifts her attention towards the Surskit. "Miss Riri! Is this one a bug?" She asks her. Airi giggles at the little nickname the innocent child gave her. "Mhm! Surskit is a Bug/Water-type Pokemon. However, it loses it's water-typing once it evolves into Masquerain," she explains to her. The Surskit blows a few gentle bubbles at the kid, causing her to giggle out loudly before poking some of th bubbles with her index finger.

The captain simply shrugs, not because he doesn't care but he just understands that people were people. "It is, but that's why Hoenn has us, we protect the pokemon when we can," he comments as his final words before the crowd came in. More than a couple of times Razz had been called over to help be the final authority when his Rangers were denying some trainers and their request for whatever reason or another. Easily backing up his people and their decisions in the end. While busy with others two kids would come up to AIRI WATANABE. [break][break]

Both kids then look to each other not seeming happy with the other as it seems each kid wanted to take the fairy pokemon home. Seems like Razz would not be the only one to have to deal with possible troublesome trainers. Hopefully she could deal easier than most.

Airi pondered over Razz's words for a brief moment while she observed the captain departing to attend to additional matters. Unsurprisingly, her thoughts were soon disturbed by the sound of two kids arguing over the Azurill. "Hello. Aren't you two the cutest!" She greeted them both with a warm smile. She then glanced over at the Azurill, who was bouncing cutely against the table, before turning her attention back towards the kids. "I see. You two are both interested in the Azurill. Good choice. Unfortunately, only one of you will be able to adopt this little one. This Azurill is pretty special. I need to make sure that whichever one of you is able to adopt will be a good fit for it. With that being said, it's quiz time! Let's see who knows the most about Azurill," Airi spoke with a wide grin. A quiz to determine which of the kids will make the perfect match for Azurill. It seems fair, right? She hopes so, or else her face may end up being the next trendy meme on social media.

Airi clapped her dainty hands together as she grabbed the two kids undivided attention. "Alright, which one of you can tell me Azurill's typing? I will give you two choices... Water/Fairy or Normal/Fairy?" She asked them. "If you know the answer, please raise your hand, then tell me the answer," she explained to them.

"Yeah but I'm cuter than them right?" the girl questions as she gives the biggest grin that she can muster. Her rival just rolling his eyes and sticks his togue out at her in response. But both were still fascinated in the Azurill and both were listening as the ranger mentioned that it could only go to one of them, the two looking eager to try and get the quiz correct. [break][break]

Once the question hits the boy clearly raises his hand first but the girl raises her hand and answers after, "Normal-Fairy!" she is quick but the boy just puffs his cheeks in annoyance. [break][break]

"Stupid I raised my hand first!" he complained but he still kept his hand raised, "But I know other things 'bout them like like how sometimes they change gender when they evolve and uhhh ummmm how they can throw themselves with their tail!" he looks to the baby pokemon with a large smile, "I bet if you come with me we can even break the current record!"[break][break]

Both kids do look to the ranger to see who she would choose.
